Beauty Haul #2

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been so slow with blogging, I'm currently in the middle of sitting my A Level exams and I haven't had much time to post as I've been revising! Anyways, I thought I'd show you what I bought when I went and picked up a few things! It's not a great amount but I'd thought I'd show you anyway!

Boots - Glycerin and Rosewater Toner -  £2.32
Botanics - Eye Make-Up Remover - £3.99
Rimmel - Scandal Eyes Mascara in Black - Currently £4.99
MUA - Lipstick in shade 3 - £1
MUA - Power Pout in Runway - £3
MUA - Nail Polish in Bright Coral - £1

I was looking for a new toner as I've almost run out of my Liz Earle one and I heard this one from boots is supposed to have the same effect, and at just above £2 you can't go wrong! I haven't had much chance to try this out yet but I will let you know how I get on with it!

I have recently run out of my Bioderma and decided to try out something new that is slightly cheaper and more accessible. The first thing I saw was this make up remover from botanics. It's more of an oil than Bioderma but so far I can't find any faults with this.

I got this mascara free when I spent £10 or over on Rimmel products a while back but decided to add it to this haul! It can come out quite clumpy but if applied carefully it gives a nice look!

Recently I have been loving a bright pink colour on my lips, I find that its great for sunny days and is so simple to apply when you're in a rush or can't be bothered to apply eyeshadow that day. I've never tried any MUA lipsticks before so I decided to pick this up as I've heard great reviews!

I have been wanting a Clinique Chubby Stick for ages now, but I just can't get myself to buy one as they're so expensive, so I saw these new chubby stick look a likes from MUA retailing at £3, which I didn't mind spending! I also love this colour, it looks orange on the product but when applied it goes a bit more pinky.

Since MUA have come out with an essie styled packaging to there new nail polishes, they have been the most raved about product from MUA. So I had to pick some up, I was looking for "pistachio ice cream" but it seems to be out of stock everywhere! But as I love corals I decided to get this one instead for the time being. I absolutely love these nail polishes, great pigmentation and dry pretty quick!  I highly recommend them!

I hope you all enjoyed this post, and I'm so sorry for being caught up with all this revision! Have you tried any of the MUA nail polishes? And do you have any post recommendations you would like to see?

Benefit Most Glamorous Nudes Ever

I've had this palette for a while now and when I was going through my make up collection I decided to give it another go as I hadn't used it in quite some time. And to be honest I have no idea why I've neglected this palette for so long! The colours in this palette are easy to work with and can be used everyday and because I have fallen in love with this palette I decided to review it!

Benefit - Most Glamorous Nudes Ever - £24

This palette consists of two cream eye shadows and four powder eyeshadows.

Cream Eyeshadows -

"Birthday Suit" is described as a brushed chrome which is a grey brown colour that has small silver and gold shimmer.

"My Two Cents" is described as a polished copper which is a copper colour with hints of gold shimmer running through it.

Here are swatches of the two cream eyeshadows. The top one being "My Two Cents" and the bottom being "Birthday Suit".

Powder Eyeshadows -

"Call My Buff" is described as a pale shell colour. I usually use this as a highlighting colour on my brow bone and on the inner corner of my eyes.

"Kiss Me I'm Tipsy" is described as a spiced brown colour, which is a deep brown with a gold/copper shimmer going throng it.

"It's Complicated" is described as a golden peach that has pink and peach shimmer going through it.

"Guilty Pleasure" is described as a golden sand colour which is a pale brown with golden shimmer through.

Overall I think that this palette is an easy palette to use and has a good choice of colours that you can use on a daily basis, they blend together so easily and the cream shadows don't crease. Also these shadows will last a great amount of time!

Thank you so much for reading and I hoped this helped! Have you ever tried this palette and what's your thoughts on it?

SPRING LIPSTICKS

During spring and summer I like to wear either a nude, bright pink or coral lip. So I decided to make a post on my favourite lip colours for this time of year!

From left to right:
Revlon - Lip Butter - Sweet Tart - £7.99
Barry M - Lip Paint - Marshmallow - £4.49
No7 - Stay Perfect Lipstick - Gay Geranium - £10
Natural Collection - Lipstick - Sorbet - £1.99

From top to bottom:
Natural collection - Sorbet

A sheer pinky coral lipstick with small shimmer particles.

The pros of this lipstick is that it has a really creamy texture, is easy to apply, is really cheap and a great colour for an everyday look! In my opinion the cons are that it has small shimmer particles in it and doesn't last a great amount of time.

No7 - Gay geranium

A coral/orange matte lipstick.

The pros of this lipstick is that it lasts a great amount of time and doesn't smudge! It's a great colour with an amazing pigmentation if you're feeling brave, it's also a less orange dupe to Mac "morange" and this colour is currently on trend. The cons for this lipstick is that it is pretty matte and can be quite drying on the lips if you don't apply enough product.

Barry M - Marshmallow

A creamy nude lipstick with a pink undertone.

This lipstick has a great texture, is easy to apply and is fairly cheap if you're looking for a nude lipstick. Can be worn on a daily basis and doesn't go out of trend. The cons however in my opinion is that it has a pink undertone whereas I prefer a more peach undertone.

Revlon - Sweet Tart

A creamy, medium coverage bright pink with a hint of coral lipstick.

Out of all of the lipsticks above this has been my number one favourite. It has a great pigmentation and you can make the colour as sheer or as bright you want. The texture is amazing and it's a gorgeous colour for summer and spring. The only con I would say for this is that you will need to touch up during the day.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope this gave you some ideas for spring! Have you tried any of these lipsticks and do you have any recommendations?

Benefit Cream Eyeshadow

I bought two of the Benefit Eye Shadow Creams a while ago and have been really enjoying them! I love to use cream eye shadows when I'm in a rush or if I'm going for a simple look ill just put it all over the lid for a bit of colour, they're so simple to apply yet look so effective! They have a really creamy formula but do tend to dry up a little bit but they're still usable. The pigmentation is amazing and they will stay put all day and won't crease!

Benefit Creasless Cream Eyeshadow - R.S.V.P - £14
R.S.V.P is a slightly warmed-up champagne shade with not much shimmer but more of a golden sheen. This makes for an excellent all-over lid colour when you need a quick look, but it also works well as a base shade, particularly for golds and greens.

Benefit Creasless Cream Eyeshadow - Skinny Jeans - £14
Skinny Jeans is a smoky, pewter-green shade. It’s kind of like like gray meets green meets gold and has small gold shimmer in it. I love using this as a liner on the lower lash line or as a base for a really dark green smoky eye.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and found it helpful! Have you tried any of the benefit cream eyeshadows? What's your opinion on them?

MUA Palette

Around two months ago I went into boots and had a look at the MUA range because I've heard that the quality of the products are amazing for the price. I've also heard that they do dupe eyeshadow palettes for the Naked and Naked 2 palettes. So I decided to buy an eyeshadow palette called "Heaven and Earth" This palette is full of neutral shimmery eyeshadows and i thought it would look great for an everyday look. And I'm so pleased with this palette and use it nearly everyday so I thought I'd give you a review and swatches!

MUA Eye Shadow Palette - Heaven and Earth - £4

Here are some close ups of the eye shadows. Going from left to right. These eyeshadows are all shimmery and there aren't any matte eyeshadows which is the downside, but if you like shimmer eyeshadow this palette is amazing!

And here are some swatches of the eyeshadows and as you can see they are fairly neutral colours of different shades of browns, creams and whites.

Overall, I think this palette is one of the best palettes I have used. The eyeshadows have a pretty good pigmentation for the price they are and are so easy to apply and blend. You can create a subtle day look or a dramatic evening look with this palette! There's also a good highlight colour (top left corner) which is an amazing under the brow highlighter and I also use it for the inner corner of my eye. You can use this palette in so many different ways and that's why it is one of my top 5 eyeshadow palettes!

I really hope you enjoyed reading this and I have helped you in some way and I really do recommend you go and have a look at the MUA range because their palettes are amazing! I've also heard good reviews about the lipsticks!

Have you tried any MUA products and do you have any recommendations?

Haircare Routine

As some of you may not know, I do in fact have ombre hair! I've had ombre hair for almost a year now and bleaching the ends of your hair can cause a huge amount of damage and keeping it healthy is the tricky part. I also have pretty dry and natural wavy hair so any products to help condition and help maintain the wave and de frizz my hair is a bonus. I also love to keep my hair volumized and give it a slight messy look. Here's my current hair care routine that I find really works for my hair.

L'oreal Paris - Volume Hair Styler - £5.99
Aussie - Curl Definition Serum - £4.99
Aussie - Leave In Conditioner - £4.49
John Frieda - Frizz Ease Straight Ahead Shampoo - £5.59
John Frieda - Frizz Ease Straight Ahead Conditioner - £5.59
Percy and Reed - Hydration Mask - £16

This shampoo and conditioner is great for all kinds of hair types wanting a straighter look, Ive noticed that it tames down those annoying frizzy strands and helps keep it smooth for days, so it works for my wavy hair! And for my ombre hair I use this hydrating hair mask 2 times a week to keep my ends hydrated and soft. It is said to be kept in the hair for 10 minutes while towel wrapped but works with or without, but for the best result I advise to do so. It makes my hair feel 10 times softer and helps get rid of split ends! Which is a plus for me.

These Aussie products are amazing! Definitely in my top 5 haircare products, they smell great and also have so many natural ingredients! I use the leave in conditioner on the ends of my hair to make sure they are protected and won't get damaged through out the day, i then run the serum through my hair to smooth down the frizzy strands here and there. I'm a girl who loves volumized hair and this 3 day volume spray is great. As well as it giving volume it also acts as a heat protecter! I put this through damp hair and concentrate at the roots. I then usually let my hair air dry but if in a rush I will dry it using your average hair dryer.

Hope this helped some of you out there! Have you tried any of these products? And what are your thoughts? Also if you have any recommendations please feel free to comment below and let me know! Would be lovely to hear from you all!

May Wish List

Acid Hight Waisted Shorts - Topshop - £30
Water Fuse BB Cream - Dr Jart - £18
Neon Yellow Jumper - Topshop - £30
Chunky Chain Necklace - Topshop - £12.50
Face Form - Sleek - £9.99
Chubby Stick - Clinique - £16
Drink Up Intensive - Origins - £20
Expert Face Brush - Real Techniques - £9.99
Nail Varnish in Pistachio Ice Cream - £1

I have heard so many good reviews about the chubby sticks and would really love to give it a try, I heard that soap and glory and revlon have made a chubby stick if you're looking for something similar but cheaper, but the colours look so pretty for summer! The intensive face mask has been a beauty must have for the last few months and I think it's about time I got it! Really need a good face mask as I currently have none and I've heard so many good reviews. These essie look a like nail polishes from MUA are only £1 so I thought I would give it a go, this colour is supposed to be an exact dupe for essie "mint candy apple" and I really need a mint nail polish! The sleek face form is a great everyday palette to countour highlight and blush! I think it would be a great easy to go palette and can take it everywhere with you! There has been a huge hype for the expert face brush by real techniques and I'm curious to know why! I'm currently using the buffing brush by real techniques but I'm intrigued!

This neon jumper looks great for spring, and the colour is just amazing. Although it is on the pricey side I might have to invest in it! The chunky necklace is a great outfit piece as it will most likely go with anything you wear, easy to style up a plain outfit any day! And the shorts, I thought they would look so cute for summer!

Have any of you tried out any of these products? What's your thoughts on them? And whats on your May wishlist? Would love to know!

Thank you for reading!

April Favourites

Yet again another month has flown by so quickly! Here are my favourite products I have been loving and using nearly everyday in the month of April! Hope you enjoy!

Make-up

Wake Me Up Foundation in 200 Soft Beige
Revlon Lip butter in Sweet Tart
Estée Lauder Eyeshadow Duo in Raisins
Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Transparent
Soap And Glory Concealer in Light
Barry M Nail Varnish in Peach Melba
Benefit Eye Liner in Eye Bright

These make up products have been my everyday go to products, and I don't think there was a day where I didn't wear one of them! This foundation is perfect for a natural dewy look with a medium to build-able coverage, it has the tiniest shimmer particles in it which gives it it's glow, and in my opinion it smells so good! I have been using the Rimmel powder for around a year now and it has been my favourite powder and always seem to go back to it! It's perfect for the summer and helps keep your make up stay on longer! I have been loving the lip butters by revlon as they're so easy to apply and have the creamiest texture and especially in this bright pink colour to give you that summer feel, I have been wearing it nearly everyday of April as its so quick ans easy to apply. I am in love with this eyeshadow duo as its so easy to apply and has a silky texture to it so the shadows are so easy to blend, they are also the prettiest colours for spring and summer! Great for a day and night look. The eye liner is the perfect peach colour to brighten and awaken up the eyes!

Skin and body care

Simple Kind to Skin Rich Moisturiser
Soap and Glory Hand Food
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
Benefit Dark Circle Eye Cream
Soap and Glory Butter Yourself 5 Fruits

These have been my everyday skin care and body products throughout April, this moisturiser is a rich moisturiser good for those with dry skin, but also sinks into the skin within less than 5 minutes! So it's great to apply both night and morning before applying your make up. The soap and glory products not only smell amazing but keeps your skin hydrated throughout the day! As I've been using fake tan more often I feel like this moisturiser helps lock it in for those few extra days and keeps your skin feeling smooth! Benefit eye cream is a pretty thick cream so I'd probably advise you to apply it in the night before bed but it is easy to apply! It's great if you suffer from dark under eye circles because it helps brighten up the area. I have been using the Liz Earle hot cleanse and polish for almost half a year now and I'm still in love with it, it's a great way to help cleanse the skin before applying make up and in the night after taking your make up off just to make sure your skin is completely clean.

Hair care

L'oreal Paris Elnett Satin Volume Styling Spray
Aussie Curl Definition Serum
Percy and Reed Hydrating Mask

I find that the hydrating mask is perfect for summer, as the sun dries out my hair a little more it gives it back the hydration it needs, giving you a soft and silky feel. My hair tends to get more flat in the summer due to the heat so this curl definition serum helps lock in the curls for longer, also this volume styling spray helps give it back its shape and volumizes, It's also a heat protector!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed! Please leave me comments or ask me any questions you wish and I will get back to you as soon as possible!
What was your favourites this month?
